Tokyo seminar on careers in the Global Fund

The FGFJ held a seminar in Tokyo on June 23, 2009, to increase understanding of the activities and role of the Global Fund, and to share information with Japanese professionals about career possibilities within the Global Fund. The public seminar, titled Working for an International Organization in Public Private Partnership, targeted young and mid-career professionals interested in working for international organizations. There were over 100 participants from the NPO, corporate, government, and university sectors at the event, which featured a presentation by Birgit Poniatowski, acting manager for board relations at the Global Fund, and remarks by Professor Atsuko Aoyama from the Department of International Health of Nagoya University and Masaki Inaba, program director for global health at the Africa Japan Forum. The seminar was cosponsored by the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Global Fund.
